President's Welcome
From Dr. Robert E. England, President For well over a century Bible colleges have been instrumental in preparing Christian ministers, missionaries, musicians, and educators for the great task of laboring in the whitened harvest fields of this world. All Bible colleges are known for their similarities: faculty, staff, students, offices, classrooms, libraries, dormitories, chapels and academic curricula. On the other hand, each Bible college has its own uniqueness. Colleges become known for their specific emphases. Mottoes help sharpen the focus of any institution. At Allegheny Wesleyan College our motto is simple, yet sublime, namely this: "Where God is First." What an awesome declaration! What a great responsibility is placed upon faculty, staff, and students to be sure that our motto is, in fact, a reality. Growing out of our school motto is my vision for AWC. As I see it, Allegheny Wesleyan College exists to provide a theological laboratory in which revival fires are kindled and where faculty and staff are better known as people of deep piety and prayer warriors than teachers, preachers, evangelists, musicians, or administrators. Emerging from a Spirit-filled atmosphere, our primary objectives are to prepare students for their life’s work by developing: |

We are concerned about attitudes and actions, beliefs and behavior, character and commitment, devotion and duty. If your desires are in alignment with these objectives, we welcome your application. May the Lord help you to find and do His will. ![]() |
